Episode 27: How do consumers know if their real estate agent is working hard … or hardly working? Communication is key, says broker Frank LLosa of Frankly Realty in this latest installment of The Wheel Estate Cam.
"Oftentimes there’s a common misperception that if you don’t see someone doing the work, you just assume they’re not doing anything," LLosa says.
"So I’ve gotten a lot of feedback from clients saying, ‘Oh, my agent didn’t do anything’ … I’m sure they were doing things, it’s just the lack of communication to the client about what exactly the agent was doing."
LLosa’s suggestion: Keep clients informed by sending them a copy of e-mails relevant to their transaction. What an agent might consider an insignificant e-mail could help the client feel more in the loop and give the client more confidence about what the agent is doing on the client’s behalf, he says.
