The nominations process is now open for the 2010 Inman News Innovator Awards, which recognize companies that use technology and innovation to enhance the real estate transaction and experience for consumers and real estate professionals.
Additionally, one of the annual awards recognizes an individual who embodies the spirit of real estate innovation.
Since their inception in 1997, the annual awards have recognized companies including LendingTree, Coldwell Banker, Sawbuck Realty, Redfin, ActiveRain, vFlyer and Closing.com, and individuals including Frank LLosa of Frankly Realty and FranklyMLS.com, Bob Hale of the Houston Association of Realtors, and Mark Lesswing of the National Association of Realtors’ Center for Realtor Technology.
This year’s winners will be announced in a ceremony during the upcoming Real Estate Connect conference in San Francisco, which runs from July 13-15, 2010, at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square hotel.
One award will be given in each of the following categories:
- Brokerage or Franchise
- New Technology
- Web Service
- Blog
- Media Site
- Innovator of the Year (award for an individual)
The selection process
Each year, Inman News announces the launch of the Inman News Innovator Awards process with a call for nominations three months prior to the Real Estate Connect conference. (View last year’s Innovator Awards winners here.)
Nominations are open to all and are submitted online. An Inman News review team considers the nominations and selects a list of finalists, and the finalists are drawn from the nominees and a list of other prospects suggested by the Inman News editorial team. The review team selects the winners from the list of finalists.
You may enter a company in any and all relevant categories. Multiple nominations for the same company or individual are not necessary. You may nominate yourself or your own company.
The deadline to submit nominations is June 1, 2010.
