Coldwell Banker Real Estate on Tuesday announced a redesign for its ColdwellBanker.com Web site and navigational tools that are customized for display on iPhones.
The Web site "automatically recognizes that it is being accessed by an iPhone, and will serve up the special iPhone interface," the company announced — no software downloads are required for the custom interface.
Michael Fischer, senior vice president of marketing for Coldwell Banker Real Estate, said in a statement that the new features recognize that society is increasingly mobile, "moving away from the desktop and utilizing cell phones and PDAs for more and more content and entertainment." Users of the site’s property-search tools can search by keyword, by how recently a property was listed, and view properties and neighborhood amenities such as eateries and schools on an interactive map, as examples.
