Freer answered a set of questions posed by Inman News:
What do you see happening in the real estate market in 2008?
If it’s not priced right it just won’t sell.
What advice do you have to help real estate agents and brokers get through this market?
Find new ways to do old things. Embrace the Internet. Become an expert.
What was your first job?
Caddying for my father — I was 13.
What sparked the idea to start your company?
LOL. I had an idea that started in the shower, actually. I quickly ran into the garage office to write it down while my wife Gia mopped up the floor.
What’s been your biggest challenge in running the business?
Patience.
If you had one thing to do over again in your life, what would it be?
I would have majored in computer programming instead of accounting and finance.
What style of home do you live in and when did you buy it?
A Mediterranean in Boca Raton, Fla., purchased in September 2005.
What worries keep you awake at night?
I can’t sleep at night at the best of times — regardless of state of mind.
What lesson did you learn in the last year?
If someone tells you it will take two months — plan on four.
What would your second career choice be?
Sports Center anchor on ESPN.
What kind of music do you listen to?
All the R’s — from reggae to rock to R&B.
Who is your hero?
Richard Branson.
