Trulia launches agent-branded listings tool

Real estate search site Trulia.com has added free features this week that allow agents and brokers to upload a photo and contact information for display with every property listing that they have at the Web site, and site users can gauge interest in individual properties by checking page-view statistics for those properties.

Also, the added features allow consumers seeking more information about a property listing to click on a "Contact Me" button to send an e-mail to an agent or broker from the Trulia site.

Trulia now allows agents and brokers to promote open-house events at the site. A broker-owned Web site, OpenHouse.com, also features open-house information that is supplied by Realogy-brand real estate companies and other companies that choose to use the platform, such as Prudential Real Estate Affiliates.

The "Stats for Sellers" feature is intended to help users gauge interest in homes displayed at the site and "could provide critical insight to sellers if there is a mismatch between the number of total views versus home buyer inquiries," according to the Trulia announcement.

Trulia reports that 93 of the top 100 largest real estate brokers in the country supply property listings to the company, and the site ranked 11th among real estate sites for total visits in April, according to metrics company Hitwise.
