Long-term mortgage interest rates were largely unchanged Monday, and the
benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield sank to 3.83 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average held at 5.76 percent, and the
15-year fixed rate dipped slightly to 5.35 percent. Meanwhile, the 1-year adjustable rate rose to 5.92 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield stayed at 4.57 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes
nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states.
Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 41.36 points, or 0.32 percent, finishing at 13,028.16.
The Nasdaq lost 12.76 points, or 0.5 percent, closing at 2,516.09.
