Half a million U.S. property listings go abroad

Network Communications, a top publisher of real estate advertisements, says it will feed nearly half a million for-sale property listings to Properazzi.com, an international real estate portal.

Properazzi claims close to 1 million international property seekers from 50 countries access its portal each month. The portal displays about 4 million property listings in 58 countries.

The move signals a new interest from the U.S. real estate industry in marketing properties abroad. Markets like New York City and parts of Florida have seen an increase in foreign real estate buyers in recent years.

Nearly a half million for-sale property listings from the top NCI real estate brands — The Real Estate Book, New Home Finder, New Homes Journal, New Homes & Ideas and Unique Homes — will be uploaded to Properazzi.com daily.

Inquiries from home shoppers on Properazzi will be directed back to the NCI advertiser, the company said.

"Partnering with Properazzi.com will give us the opportunity to help our customers market their properties to the growing number of international buyers looking to invest in a home in the U.S.," Cy Caine, vice president of strategy and business development at Network Communications, said.

In addition to Properazzi, NCI’s network of online distribution partners includes AreaGuides.net, ATT.net, BobVila.com, Condo.com, FrontDoor.com, Google Base, HomeGain, Homescape.com, HotPads.com, HouseLocator.com, MSN Sympatico, The New York Times, Oodle.com, RealtyTrac.com, Trulia.com, Unique Global Estates, The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo.com and Zillow.com.

NCI was acquired by Court Square Capital Partners in January 2005. Its magazines are read by more than 12 million readers in more than 500 markets and deliver more than 1 million leads to advertisers each month.
