Long-term mortgage interest rates came down Monday, and the
benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield fell to 3.41 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average sank to 5.67 percent, and the
15-year fixed rate dipped to 5.19 percent. The 1-year adjustable rate, however, jumped to 5.52 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield was down at 4.29 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes
nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states.
Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 46.49 points, or 0.38 percent, finishing at 12,262.89.
The Nasdaq was up 17.92 points, or 0.79 percent, closing at 2,279.1.
