Long-term mortgage interest rates rose again Friday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield decreased to 3.77 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average climbed to 5.81 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate increased to 5.24 percent. The 1-year adjustable rate, however, dipped to 4.96 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield was lower at 4.58 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 28.77 points, or .23 percent, finishing at 12,348.21. The Nasdaq was down 10.74 points, or .46 percent, closing at 2,321.8.
