Long-term mortgage interest rates continued higher Thursday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield sank to 4.64 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average rose to 6.13 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate gained to 5.74 percent. The 1-year adjustable climbed to 5.76 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield was down at 4.86 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 63.57 points, or 0.45 percent, finishing at 14,015.12. The Nasdaq fell 39.41 points, or 1.4 percent, closing at 2,772.2.
