Long-term mortgage interest rates were flat Friday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield dipped to 4.62 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average held at 6.17 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate stayed at 5.79 percent. The 1-year adjustable, however, gained to 5.59 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield was down to 4.88 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 142.99 points, or 1.08 percent, finishing at 13,378.87. The Nasdaq rose 34.99 points, or 1.38 percent, closing at 2,576.69.
