Long-term mortgage interest rates were mostly flat Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield rose to 5.09 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average sank to 6.3 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate held at 6.01 percent. The 1-year adjustable dipped to 5.54 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield was up at 5.19 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 76.17 points, or 0.56 percent, finishing at 13,577.87. The Nasdaq was up 12.63 points, or 0.48 percent, closing at 2,651.79.
