Long-term mortgage interest rates posted gains Thursday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield crept up to 5.19 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average rose to 6.33 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate edged up to 6.03 percent. The 1-year adjustable held at 5.54 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield gained to 5.3 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 56.42 points, or 0.42 percent, finishing at 13,545.84. The Nasdaq was up 17 points, or 0.65 percent, closing at 2,616.96.
