Lockhart Steele says the growth of blogging has created a “giant ecosystem of new information” that zooms down to the neighborhood and street level.
Steele, founder of the Curbed blogs and managing editor for Gawker Media, says Curbed is aggregating the many discussions about place. The series of Curbed blogs now includes Curbed blog sites in Los Angeles and San Francisco, in addition to the original New York City-focused blog. And the list also includes Eater and Eater Los Angeles, which are food-focused sites; Racked, which focuses on the retail side of things; and The Beach, a seasonal site.
Steele discusses the growth of the Curbed family of sites and the content that drives the sites with Inman News Publisher Brad Inman.
