In a move aimed at satisfying online consumers’ growing appetite for real estate information, Yahoo! Real Estate on Thursday released a revamped home values section including new research capabilities, multiple valuation estimates from various sources and the ability to connect with local appraisers.
The new section is mash-up of services from the company’s new and existing partners, which include Zillow, Reply.com and eppraisal.com.
Consumers will be able to browse user-generated comments, articles about home values, references to top local appraisers, and maps that pinpoint homes of similar value in the neighborhood.
The real estate portal said it expanded its partnership with Zillow to offer additional home details such as tax assessments, sale history and neighborhood comparable sales, among other things.
Also, Yahoo’s new partnerships with Reply.com and eppraisal.com will pull together home valuations from multiple sources to offer consumers along with information from Zillow.
The site revamp incorporates content from Yahoo! Answers and Yahoo! Local to offer social and local insights into home values and related services. Users can view top questions and answers from the real estate community.
