Panoramic Interests recently sold a seven-property apartment portfolio in Berkeley, Calif., for an undisclosed price.

The portfolio, which includes 418 apartment units located in the heart of downtown, was purchased by Equity Residential. The properties comprise 255,764 square feet of net rentable area, 40,048 square feet of commercial space and 255 parking spaces.

The properties include:

  • Acton Courtyard — 1370 University Ave.
    Built in 2003, this five-story, mixed-use building with two landscaped rooftop gardens and terraces and a courtyard contains 71 residential units comprising 47,134 square feet and 62 parking spaces. Tenants in the 6,703 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor of Acton Courtyard include the Bread Workshop, Books Out Loud, SignCo, Golden Key Piano School and Verizon.

  • The Artech Building — 2002 Addison St.
    A five-story, mixed-use building with rooftop deck, built in 2002, the Artech Building contains 21 residential units comprising 14,259 square feet and 17 parking spaces. Tenants in the 6,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space include Kolo Kitchen, Costa Rican Adventures and the educational nonprofit Computer Technologies.

  • The Bachenheimer Building — 2119 University Ave.
    Built in 2004, this five-story, mixed-use building with a rooftop deck contains 44 residential units comprising 28,180 square feet and 30 parking spaces. Copy Edge occupies the 2,760 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

  • The Berkeleyan — 1910 Oxford St.
    A five-story, mixed-use building with a landscaped rooftop deck and interior courtyard, built in 1998, the Berkeleyan contains 56 residential units comprising 35,781 square feet and 38 parking spaces. Tenants in the 3,785 square feet of ground-floor commercial space include Yali’s Café, Panoramic Management and CM Land Maintenance.

  • The Fine Arts Building — 2100 Haste St.
    Built in 2004, this five-story, mixed-use building with two rooftop decks and one interior courtyard contains 100 residential units comprising 58,448 square feet and 63 parking spaces. Tenants in the 9,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space in the Fine Arts Building include Herbivore and Avila Design.

  • The Gaia Building — 2116 Allston Way
    A seven-story, mixed-use building with a rooftop deck and interior courtyard, built in 2000, the Gaia Building contains 91 residential units comprising 53,776 square feet and 40 parking spaces. Tenants in the 10,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space of the Gaia Building include Anna’s Jazz Lounge, Gaia Arts/ Theatre/Playhouse, and Glass Onion Catering & Events Center.

  • The Touriel Building — 2004 University Ave.
    Built in 2004, this five-story, mixed-use building with a rooftop deck contains 35 residential units comprising 18,186 square feet and seven parking spaces. Darling Flower occupies the 1,300 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

The properties were developed between 1998 and 2004, according to a press statement.
