IAC has named Bret Violette the new president of RealEstate.com, the company’s real estate division that offers to connect consumers with real estate brokers across the nation.
Violette will be responsible for building and leveraging the company’s portfolio of businesses, including the RealEstate.com consumer portal, the RealEstate.com Realtors local brokerage business, the national Real Estate Broker and Agent networks, iNest and Domania.
Violette will report to IAC President and Chief Operating Officer Doug Lebda.
Violette previously served in executive roles at Weichert Lead Network, YHD Foxtons, CMP Media and Ziff-Davis Publishing. He joined RealEstate.com in 2005 to serve as senior vice president and general manager of the company’s local market real estate brokerage business, RealEstate.com, Realtors.
The RealEstate.com, Realtors brokerage business has expanded into nine markets in the western U.S. with more than 400 agents since launch.
Tom Reddin, who led RealEstate.com in his role as CEO of IAC Financial Services and Real Estate, has decided to take a year off to spend time with his family, the company said.
