Joel Burslem was named Social Media/Interactive Marketing Manager at Inman News today.
Burslem is a communications professional with many years of experience in consumer marketing, public relations, crisis communications and Internet marketing. He’s worked in government, rode the dot-com boom (and bust), and slogged it out as a PR flack and newsmagazine publisher. He comes to Inman News after working in the marketing department at Prudential Northwest Properties in Portland, Ore.
Burslem is owner of The Future of Real Estate Marketing, a blog he started to record his musings on the impact of social media, technology and the Internet on real estate marketing. He will continue to maintain the blog, as well as contribute to the Inman News Blog.
In his new role, Burslem will direct marketing of Inman News social media products, including InmanWiki and the Inman News Blog.
“I’m really excited to welcome Joel to the Inman News team. We launched InmanWiki earlier this year, hoping to provide a place where the industry and consumers can collaborate on real estate information, as well as read thousands of articles from Robert Bruss and many other consumer-focused columnists who’ve written for Inman News for many years,” said Inman News Publisher Bradley Inman.
