Long-term mortgage interest rates were mostly flat Tuesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield edged up to 4.66 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average held at 5.69 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate dipped to 5.47 percent. The 1-year adjustable remained at 5.32 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield increased to 4.74 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 6.89 points, or 0.06 percent, finishing at 12,416.6. The Nasdaq was up 5.63 points, or 0.23 percent, closing at 2,443.83.
