Zodax, a designer and distributor of home decorative accessories, will expand and consolidate its activities at “The Plant” in Panorama City, Calif., following the acquisition of a newly completed 200,000 build-to-suit facility at that site by company principals, announces Delphi Business Properties Inc.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
David Hoffberg, senior vice president of Delphi, reports that Zodax schedules a year-end occupancy of its new building, located on 8.5 acres of land at 14200 Arminta St. Hoffberg said Zodax, which already occupies a 100,000-square-foot building at “The Plant” that serves as its headquarters, will occupy half of the new building and lease the balance.
Philip Cohanim, president of Zodax, said the new facility enables the company to expand and transfer manufacturing activities currently performed in a San Fernando facility to a single campus. He said approximately 100 people will be employed at the site.
S&V Van Nuys-C&D LLC, the developers of the new building, sold it to a Zodax entity comprised of Powell Plaza Associates and Apex Equity Properties LLC.
