Help-U-Sell Real Estate has expanded its fee-for-service real estate business in South Africa, the company announced this week.
Since opening an office in Pretoria earlier this year, the company has already established 12 franchise offices throughout the country.
Under the company’s set-fee model, consumers choose the level of brokerage service they want and often can save money on total commission costs compared with a more traditional commission that is a percentage of the home’s sale price.
“The expansion of Help-U-Sell Real Estate into South Africa exemplifies how the real estate market is growing and changing worldwide with consumers taking a more active role,” said Steve Ozonian, chairman of Realty Information Systems, dba Help-U-Sell Real Estate.
Robert Stevens, director of Help-U-Sell Real Estate South Africa, said that the American and South African property markets have similarities. The company has franchises opening in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban, and plans to add offices in Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein and Cape Town.
Help-U-Sell has approximately 1,000 offices throughout the United States and South Africa.
