Fidelity National Title has launched a bilingual English- and Spanish-language Web site, MihogarenCalifornia, which aims to educate consumers on the process of buying a home.
MihogarenCalifornia.com provides information and resources for Hispanics about vital home-buying topics such as the importance of credit, how to choose a real estate agent or mortgage broker, and how to gain knowledge about the closing process, property maintenance and payments.
“By providing reliable, accurate information about buying a home, we can become a trusted source of information and support to help more people in underserved markets become homeowners,” said Pablo Wong, senior vice president of Market Development for Fidelity National Title Group.
Although California has the largest Hispanic population in the country, Hispanic home ownership in California is at 44 percent, lower than the national average Hispanic home-ownership rate of 48 percent, according to the 2004 U.S. Census. Latino households are more than 30 percentage points below the Anglo home-ownership rate of 74 percent.
Fidelity National Title is an underwriter with Fidelity National Title Group (FNTG), one of the Fidelity National Financial Inc. (NYSE:FNF) family of companies.
