The agreement — which the companies characterized as a marketing alliance in a statement released today — makes ditech.com the exclusive mortgage services provider at ForSaleByOwner.com.
Founded in 1997, ForSaleByOwner.com is owned by Tribune Interactive, and claims to be the leading online site for for-sale-by-owner transactions. Ditech.com, a direct online mortgage lender, is a business unit of GMAC Mortgage.
