Land America Financial Group has acquired Napa Land Title Co. Inc., an independent firm that’s been doing business in California’s wine country for 25 years.
Napa Title’s owner, president and general counsel David Westcott, has written continuing education materials on title insurance and escrow for several legal organizations, including the State Bar of California.
“We have enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial working relationship with LandAmerica,” Westcott said in a press release. “We are both dedicated to providing superior service to our customers, and joining the LandAmerica family allows us to offer our community the highest level of products and services.”
Napa Title has offices in Napa, American Canyon and St. Helena. The acquisition gives Land America an expanded presence in Northern California. Richmond, Va.-based LandAmerica and its subsidiaries employ a network of 10,000 active agents who work from 900 offices in the United States, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe.
