SL Green Realty Corp. on Tuesday announced it has completed a 12-year expansion lease agreement with CBS Broadcasting Inc. at 555 West 57th Street in New York City. This expansion increases CBS’ total commitment within the building to 253,316 square feet.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Commenting on the agreement, Steven Durels, executive vice president and director of leasing for SL Green, said, “CBS has been a tenant going on 15 years and we are pleased to expand our valued relationship with this media giant. CBS is now the largest tenant in the building.”
Located at 57th Street at the corner of 11th Avenue, the 20-story property, containing 975,983 square feet, was built in 1973 and features river views from all floors and a parking garage at its base. In addition to CBS Broadcasting Inc., the building is home to the offices of BMW, Ticketmaster, St. Lukes Roosevelt, and The City University of New York.
SL Green Realty Corp. is a self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust, or REIT, that predominantly acquires, owns, repositions and manages a portfolio of Manhattan office properties.
