Filogix Inc., a provider of technology to Canada’s real estate and mortgage industries, has launched its new mobile MLS system, Filogix Mobile DMS, or M-DMS, the company said today.
As a part of this launch, Filogix will provide the system free to agents across Canada who are already using its MLS system for a 30-day period beginning March 13. The new mobile offering makes it possible for Canadian agents to access Filogix’s widely used MLS system, Filogix DMS, on mobile devices.
M-DMS is a mobile MLS solution built for color wireless devices running Blackberry, Palm or Windows mobile operating systems with an HTML/JavaScript compatible browser that have a data plan.
“Our Realtors are very excited about the opportunities Filogix M-DMS provides — to be able to access all listing information, pictures, communication tools and more, while on the road with their clients,” said Brad Johnstone, chair of the MLS Committee of the 2005 Niagara Association of Realtors and technology manager of the Royal LePage Niagara Real Estate Centre.
M-DMS provides an interface that is easy to use and navigate and provides high quality color images, the company said.
“Our Realtors have reported tremendous satisfaction with Filogix’s online MLS system,” said Bruce Mullet, president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Realtors in a statement.
“They really appreciate the similarities between Filogix DMS and M-DMS, because they don’t have to learn a whole new system to start using it. They just pick up and go,” Mullet said.
Other Filogix M-DMS features include Daily Bulletin, a live, numbered count on new listing data accessible in one report, advanced emailing with a integrated point and click ability for Realtors to email listings, “My Listings” functionality enabling agents to view their listings without a separate search, the ability to view multiple photos, a mapping feature showing the listing’s location and real time access to listings as they become available.
Also, Filogix is one of the only MLS providers in Canada to provide its own proprietary mobile MLS technology, the company said.
