Long-term mortgage interest rates were mostly unchanged Thursday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield dipped to 4.58 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average slipped to 5.86 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate held at 5.48 percent. The 1-year adjustable was unchanged at 4.6 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield remained at 4.57 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 61.71 points, or 0.56 percent, finishing at 11,120.68. The Nasdaq gained 18.2 points, or 0.8 percent, closing at 2,294.63.
