Point2 Technologies and Oodle today announced that development work on a real estate data feed from Point2Homes.com to Oodle Real Estate has been completed, and that the feed is now live. Consumers on the local classifieds search engine Oodle.com will now be able to view all Point2Homes.com home listings and can link directly to the respective Realtor Web sites.
The initiative is part of Point2’s plan to increase online advertising and sales lead traffic for real estate brokers and agents using its marketing services, company officials said.
“We are leveraging RSS (Really Simple Syndication) technology to provide wide and reliable distribution of content online, to help our customers better capitalize on their listing assets,” said Jeff Tomlin, manager of market research at Point2 Technologies. The company aims to make its members’ listings highly visible to consumers online.
More than 73,000 real estate brokers and agents subscribe to Point2 Agent, according to the company, which provides online marketing and eBusiness software for the real estate and heavy equipment industries.
Oodle’s local classified listings cover 105 metropolitan areas in the United States.
