Oodle, asearch engine for local classifieds, now has one of the nation’s largest index of housing listings in the 102 markets it serves, with more than 1.5 million housing listings including Multiple Listing Service, for-sale-by-owner and foreclosure listings, the company said today.
Oodle aggregates listings from brokers like ZipRealty, real estate marketing companies like Z57 and FSBO sites such as Forsalebyowner.com. In California, Oodle has recently been testing new indexing technology, which compiles listings directly from thousands of agent sites.
The company said it is expanding its real estate partnerships, adding new partners on a daily basis.
“More home buyers find their agents on the Internet than all traditional marketing channels combined,” said Tim Johnson, executive vice president for Z57, in a statement. “Oodle has been great at sending highly targeted leads to our agents and brokers.”
Oodle enables consumers to search listings from many types of sources including MLS, FSBO and foreclosures and to search everything from mobile to multifamily homes.
“We’re excited with the strong demand we’ve seen for Oodle Real Estate,” said Ha Nguyen, director of real estate for Oodle. “In the past quarter we’ve doubled our housing index and have seen traffic grow similarly.”
Launched in April of this year, Oodle now covers 102 metropolitan areas in the US.
