Zillow CEO to speak at Real Estate Connect conference

Rich Barton, a familiar name in e-commerce and new to the real estate industry, will speak at Inman News’ Real Estate Connect in New York City, Jan. 11-13, 2006.

Barton is chairman and CEO of Zillow.com, a Seattle start-up that has attracted a lot of attention in recent months. Barton’s team announced the company earlier this year, and has remained secretive about the company’s business model while it has yet to open for business.

At Real Estate Connect NYC, Barton will join a panel discussion focusing on a look at the real estate industry from the outside. Fellow panelists include Lockhart Steele, publisher of Curbed.com; Craig Newmark, founder and customer service representative, craigslist.org; and Tony Lee, publisher of RealEstateJournal.com, Wall Street Journal Online Vertical Network.
