Along with his passion for jazz and big band music, Kevin Blanchard is keen on real estate technology that makes the home-buying and selling process easier for all parties.
Blanchard serves on the board of directors for Technology Concepts, a multiple listing service technology provider that connects home buyers, sellers real estate agents and brokers online.
Before starting his own company in January 2005, Blanchard was a marketing director for Ingenix, a key player in the health care information industry.
Since 2002, Blanchard has served on the board of trustees for Crossroads College in Rochester, Minn. He has served as the board chairman for the past two years. During his tenure on the board, he has led them through a name change for the college and a $2.6 million building expansion program to provide additional on-campus housing.

Here are his answers to a set of questions posed by Inman News:

What type of home did you grow up in and where?
The first home I lived in was an upstairs apartment in Minneapolis, Minn., where my father was finishing his college training to be a minister.
What style of home do you live in today and when did you buy it?
I live in a split-entry, four-bedroom home that I purchased in 1992.
Which daily newspaper do you read and which section do you read first?
I read the Minneapolis Star Tribune. I tend to read it right through, from front page until I get to the classified section.
Where did you spend your last vacation?
I spent 10 days touring Ireland and Scotland as a member of the Eden Prairie Community Band. We put on two concerts in Ireland and two in Scotland. At the end of our tour, I spent a week in London just for fun.
What kind of music do you listen to?
I love jazz and big band music. I play tenor saxophone in a local big band.
