Long-term mortgage interest rates posted mixed results Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield was mostly unchanged at 4.46 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average increased to 5.64 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate decreased to 5.19 percent. The 1-year adjustable was up at 4.29 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield held steady at 4.69 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 128.87 points, or 1.25 percent, finishing at 10,414.13. The Nasdaq gained 35.24 points, or 1.71 percent, closing at 2,091.24.
