Cendant real estate brands reported a 37 percent year-over-year increase in the number of brokerage offices, according to a company announcement today.
Franchise sales were up during the first six months of 2005 at Cendant’s Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Coldwell Banker Commercial, ERA and Sotheby’s International Realty brands.
“Our growth is spread across all five of our franchise networks throughout the United States along with a continued expansion internationally,” said Brien McMahon, executive vice president of franchise sales for the Cendant Real Estate Franchise Group.
On the international front, Cendant signed master franchise agreements in the first half of 2005 to expand its brands’ international presence in nine countries and territories. New additions include Century 21 Algeria, Century 21 Jordan, Century 21 Morocco, Century 21 Oman, Century 21 United Kingdom, ERA Oman, Sotheby’s International Realty Bahamas, Sotheby’s International Realty Dominican Republic and Sotheby’s International Realty Western Canada.
The five Cendant brands now encompass 14,364 residential and commercial franchised real estate offices in 58 countries and territories around the world, including 8,939 offices in the United States. Collectively, there are more than 300,000 real estate professionals affiliated with the Cendant brands.
