Long-term mortgage interest rates were mixed Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield sank to 4.16 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average was unchanged 5.28 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate dipped slightly to 4.87 percent. The 1-year adjustable also fell slightly to 3.72 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield declined to 4.39 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 42.59 points, or 0.4 percent, finishing at 10,689.15. The Nasdaq rose 15.39 points, or 0.71 percent, closing at 2,188.57.
