Long-term mortgage interest rates were flat Tuesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield jumped to 4.19 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average stayed at 5.19 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate remained at 4.7 percent. The 1-year adjustable was down slightly at 3.68 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield climbed to 4.68 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 92.95 points, or 0.9 percent, finishing at 10,461.56. The Nasdaq was up 11.25 points, or 0.56 percent, closing at 2,019.95.
