Mortgage servicers and other professionals can now have 24/7 access to Data Tree’s document database of more than 2 billion land records via the company’s new product, DocEdge.com, the company announced Monday.
Users can get copies of mortgages, deeds, assignments, transfers, assessor pages and reports such as property detail, sales comparables, and legal and vesting information. They can also search for current and historical ownership details of residential, commercial and other real property using DocEdge’s multiple search capabilities.
DocEdge offers geographic coverage spanning 33 states and every major metropolitan area. Users access the system using their Web browsers and can view, save, print or e-mail the documents retrieved via DocEdge.
“DocEdge.com offers nontraditional land record searchers efficiency and simplicity, a combination that we expect will drive user adoption,” said Dennis Gilmore, group president and chief operating officer at The First American Corp., in a statement.
San Diego-based Data Tree, a provider of recorded property document images, is a wholly owned subsidiary of First American. Available in more than 350 markets, Data Tree delivers hundreds of thousands of quality images online to companies seeking recorded property documents and property information.
