Coldwell Banker Bain merges with CB Hawkins-Poe

Coldwell Banker Bain announced today its merger with Coldwell Banker Hawkins Poe, making Coldwell Banker Bain the largest single-ownership residential real estate company in the Pacific Northwest. Coldwell Banker Bain also is the single largest Coldwell Banker affiliate in the world with more than $8 billion in home sales in 2004, according to a company statement.

With the addition of five Hawkins Poe branch offices and nearly 300 agents, the new Coldwell Banker Bain will operate a total of 31 branch offices, with more than 1,500 real estate agents in King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap counties, plus the Vancouver, WA/Portland, Ore., area.

New Coldwell Banker Bain offices are located in Tacoma, Puyallup and Gig Harbor.

Bill Riss, Coldwell Banker Bain CEO, said the merger will enable the company to expand in the southern region of Puget Sound.

Coldwell Banker Bain was founded in Seattle in 1972. The company currently serves the Puget Sound region from 19 residential offices, and from 12 offices in Oregon where it operates as Coldwell Banker Bain Barbara Sue Seal Properties.
