Marcus & Millichap arranged the sale of the Alien Technology Corporate Headquarters in Morgan Hill, Calif.
The value of the transaction was approximately $13.9 million.
Alien Technology Corporate Headquarters is located at 18220 Butterfield Blvd. The property is an 81,235-square-foot office and industrial facility constructed in 2001 and designed to accommodate multiple tenants. Alien Technology has invested nearly $9 million in tenant improvements to the building and will occupy the facility until 2013.
A Southern California-based investment group acquired the asset in a 1031 exchange from a locally based private investor.
Encino, Calif.-based Marcus & Millichap is a commercial real estate brokerage.
