Three years in advance of its lease expiration, Odyssey America Reinsurance Co. has renewed its 101,619-square-foot lease for 15 additional years at First Stamford Place in Stamford, Conn.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
First Stamford Place is a three-building, 810,000-square-foot office complex, located at I-95’s exit 7.
OdysseyRe, an insurance underwriter, will remain in its fifth-, sixth- and seventh-floor space through 2022. The firm has also signed a short-term lease agreement for an additional 15,000 square feet of swing space to accommodate employees that have to be relocated while the firm’s existing space is refurbished.

The building’s owner, W&M Properties, recently renovated the common corridors, restrooms, elevator cabs and fitness center, and built a multimedia conference center with wireless Internet access.
