Loop Information Systems today announced the release of Version 2.0 of ClosingSite, an Internet-based service that enables independent title companies to manage the closing of real estate transactions.
ClosingSite allows all parties (including buyer, seller, agents, mortgage lenders, etc.) to share appropriate documents and schedule events, and the system automatically notifies parties via e-mail of the availability of such documents and the completion of related events. A vital feature of the system is its ability to restrict access to certain documents, such as inspections, appraisals and mortgage papers, so that only the parties who should have access to them can view them.
The enhanced Version 2.0 allows title companies to customize all automatic e-mail notifications to their specifications and tailor specific online content to different party types.
In addition to the enhanced customization features, ClosingSite has added several new communication features, such as broadcast faxing and Web posting of communications. Broadcast faxing allows closing parties to send fax communications to multiple closing parties using ClosingSite’s Internet fax server. This allows online users to communicate with closing parties that are not routinely online.
Houston, Texas-based Loop Information Systems Inc. is a privately held company that owns and licenses the ClosingSite service.
