Inland Western gains Wal-Mart properties

Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust has added two more Wal-Mart stores to its portfolio in Missouri and Arkansas.

The total value of the transactions was $69.1 million.

The chain anchors Inland Western’s newly purchased Manchester Meadows Shopping Center, 17 miles west of downtown St. Louis in Town and Country, Mo. Inland paid $56.2 million for the community shopping center.

This 454,172-square-foot shopping center includes Home Depot, Sports Authority, Linens ‘n Things, PetsMart, Office Max, the United States Post Office, Boston Market and many other local tenants.

Inland Western also added a 183,211-square-foot Super Wal-Mart to its portfolio, buying the Blytheville, Ark. store for $12.9 million.

Located approximately one hour north of Memphis, Tenn., the Blytheville Wal-Mart anchors Porter’s Commons shopping center. Inland Western did not purchase Porter’s Commons. This Wal-Mart has a long-term triple net lease.
