Lee & Associates arranged five transactions involving the sale and leasing of approximately 120,260 square feet of industrial space in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The total value of the transactions was not disclosed.
American Packaging Corp of San Leandro, Calif., expanded its current space by roughly 23,000 square feet, for a total of 101,000 square feet. The original lease term was for 62 months. Lee & Associates represented the tenant, while the building ownership was represented by Dan Bergen of Colliers Pleasanton.
Velocity Express has entered into the Hayward warehouse market by leasing 16,280 square feet of warehouse space at 2868 West Winton Ave. in Hayward for a period of 49 months. Velocity is relocating from a smaller 3,000-square-foot warehouse in Pleasanton to its new facility in November 2004. Velocity Express was represented by Craig Hagglund of Lee & Associates East Bay Inc., while the building ownership was represented by Rick Keely of Colliers International Oakland.
Mervyns has leased 55,000 square feet of warehouse/manufacturing space on Fremont Blvd to handle their holiday season overflow needs. The facility is owned by Prologis and the term of the lease is for three months. Mervyns was represented by Craig Hagglund of Lee & Associates East Bay Inc., while Prologis was represented in house by Scott Lamson.
Vistawall Inc. has leased 13,200 square feet at 2359 Lincoln Ave. in Hayward for a period of three years from Prologis. The new and larger facility is located in north Hayward just a few blocks from its current location. The lease will begin in November 2004. Vistawall Inc was represented by Craig Hagglund of Lee & Associates East Bay Inc., while Prologis was represented in house by Bob Bisnette.
Oakland Wheel & Rim has purchased a 12,780-square-foot industrial bldg at 1981 W Ave. 140th in San Leandro for $1.2 million. Oakland Wheel & Rim will be relocating from Oakland and making the San Leandro facility its new home starting in October 2004. The seller was represented by Craig Hagglund & Jesse Lucas of Lee & Associates East Bay Inc., and the Buyer was represented by Bob Hamilton of HCT&A.
