Property ID, a Los Angeles-based company that markets real estate hazards disclosure reports, has been named the exclusive retail outlet for ChoicePoint’s CLUE Risk Only Reports to the real estate and hazard disclosure markets in California.
These reports are derived from the CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) database, and reveal detailed insurance losses filed on personal property homeowner’s policies during the previous five years. A report lists only the losses reported by participating insurance carriers that are associated with the property address inquired upon. The report aims to satisfy the specific insurance loss history requirement outlined in most national residential purchase contracts.
The CLUE report aims to provide home sellers with disclosure law compliance and protection from possible lawsuits for lack of disclosure on past insurance losses. The report aims to provide home buyers with timely property loss history prior to purchase and identification of potential insurance issues regarding the condition of property early in the sale process
