I get my news online: CNN, The New York Times and Inman.
What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever packed in a suitcase?
A uranium sample I brought back from Northern Saskatchewan.
What kind of music do you listen to?
The only real kind–’80s
What style of home do you live in and when did you buy it?
My wife and I live in a converted church with our two daughters–the master bedroom is where the pulpit once sat. We purchased it in 2001.
Where did you spend your last vacation?
In Las Vegas at a foosball tournament
What professional accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
Helping to architect Point2 Agent has been by far the most exciting.
What personal accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
Raising my two daughters, ages 13 and 9.

What worries keep you awake at night?
Before I go to sleep I review the day’s activities and list all the things that worry me. I eliminate the items that I have no control over (don’t worry about things you can’t change) and then I make plans to address the remaining items. It seems to work for me–when I wake up my subconscious has processed everything. I usually get my best ideas in the shower.
What lesson did you learn in the last year?
No matter where you’re driving the bus, you need to have the right people onboard if you’re going to succeed. Safe is death.
What is your favorite technology device or software application?
I love them all.
What is your opinion of Inman News?
A great source of diverse industry opinions. It seems that Inman isn’t scared to tackle any subject. Maybe Brad Inman shares my “safe is death” motto?
What was your top New Year’s resolution and have you kept it so far?
To return to a more physically active state. I am coaching youth soccer and playing in a men’s soccer league.
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Strange as it may seem–both. I don’t really need all that much sleep.
What is your worst vice or bad habit?
I have a really hard time losing, especially when playing foosball – but I’m working on it.
