Cost Plus has decided to double the size of its distribution facility at The Shirley T. Holland Commerce Park in Isle of Wight County, Va. The company will invest $24 million to add an additional 500,000 square feet and create 190 new jobs. The completed new facility will encompass over 1 million square feet.
“We are delighted to expand our distribution center in Virginia and appreciate all of the support we have received from Gov. Mark Warner, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and particularly Isle of Wight County to make this project possible,” Murray Dash, chairman and CEO of Cost Plus, said in a statement.
Cost Plus is a specialty retailer of casual home living and entertaining products. The Shirley T. Holland Commerce Park is designed to service companies utilizing the Port of Virginia.
