Long-term mortgage interest rates were unchanged Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield dipped to 4.01 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average held at 5.25 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate remained at 4.54 percent. The 1-year adjustable dropped slightly to 3.19 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield slipped to 4.89 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 35.25 points, or 0.33 percent, finishing at 10,601.62. The Nasdaq was up 17.54 points, or 0.87 percent, closing at 2,022.98.
