The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is soliciting feedback from buyers, agents and other industry participants about problems they encounter that have delayed or derailed the closing process, writes syndicated columnist Kenneth Harney in an article that appeared in the Los Angeles Times.
Well, the regulatory agency probably won’t come up short on input. Closings frequently encounter last-minute snags, Harney said. And a disproportionate amount of them, he added, are a result of eleventh-hour concerns raised by lenders.
