If lenders are turning a deaf ear, what if homeowners at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure were to turn to help from crowdfunding websites? Well, such pleas for help are “popping up across dozens of fundraising sites like GoFundMe, Indiegogo, FundRazr and GiveForward,” CBS Moneywatch reports. But Moneywatch says “less than 1 percent” of “100 or so” campaigns on GoFundMe have been successful (so would that be, like, one?) and “not a single home has been saved” on other sites.
